This is a novel that's truly indescribable, and certainly not at all describably as a "novel" in any conventional sense. I could say that it's highly experimental, highly original, highly ironic postmodern prose, which it is, but that could give the wrong impression, too, implying that it's any of those things for their own sake, the kind of superficial writing that exists to make writers and their readers feel clever. But it's also deeply political, deeply passionate, deeply moving, as well as deeply funny, and the best whatever it is I've read in a long time.Tags : Multiple Choice [Alejandro Zambra, Megan McDowell] on Amazon.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. <b> Brilliant, innovative, beautiful. — The Guardian </i> Dazzling...a work of parody,Alejandro Zambra, Megan McDowell,Multiple Choice,Penguin Books,0143109197,Hispanic & Latino,Literary,Satire,Apathy,Authoritarianism,Experimental fiction,Experimental fiction.,FICTION Literary.,FICTION Satire.,Families,Multiple-choice examinations,Satires (Literature),Satirical literature,Chile,FICTION Hispanic & Latino,FICTION Literary,FICTION Satire,Fiction,Fiction - General,Fiction-Literary,FictionHispanic & Latino,FictionSatire,GENERAL,General Adult,LATIN AMERICAN NOVEL AND SHORT STORY,United States, literary fiction;experimental fiction;literary;experimental;minimal;minimalism;humorous fiction;SAT;spoof;parody;translation;Chile;Chilean;test;exam;satire;funny books;humorous books;hispanic books;funny gifts;fiction;novels;humor;fiction books;literature;humor books;books fiction;latino;satire fiction;latino fiction;realistic fiction books;hispanic;hispanic american fiction;hispanic literature;coming of age;friendship;actor;writing;film;plays;drama;family;music;theatre;high school;play;soccer, literary fiction; experimental fiction; literary; experimental; minimal; minimalism; humorous fiction; SAT; spoof; parody; translation; Chile; Chilean; test; exam; satire; funny books; funny gifts; fiction; fiction books; humor; humor books; literature; humorous books; latino; hispanic books; hispanic literature; hispanic; latino fiction; satire fiction; hispanic american fiction; coming of age; friendship; writing; film; high school; theater; theatre; family; drama; biography; music; plays; novels; realistic fiction books; books fiction

a birthday gift for my nephew, he seemed to like it
don't know if he has answered the questions yet
The form wore on me. I wanted to like it.
I just didn't get it. It's supposed to be high brow literature, but I found it confusing.
Zambra did a wonderful job with this book. Everything about it was great. It was nothing like anything else I had read. Read it with an open mind...it's nothing like a traditional book or story. It's pretty short but it had me go through a range of emotions. Highly recommend reading it.
This is an amazing book, written as a multiple choice test. The reader becomes complicit in completing the work—forced to linger over the words and think about them deeply.
Never have I read anything like this. A must read for lovers of experimental writing, very much like poetry at times. Some short stories. Excellent fusion of genres. Fresh, original, awesome.
Short but certainly entertaining read. I found the format of the book to make it much more interesting, as it felt as a short story collection but at the same time it threw me back to my years in school were multiple choice tests were a regular thing. It is also interesting in the sense that the writing style is open to many different interpretations of the content, which will surely give its readers a different story depending on who, when and where they experience it.
